Kaya Zotz is originally from Maui HI and received his Yoga Certification through Black Swan Yoga in Denver Co. He is trained in Vinyasa, Hatha and Restorative yoga. His cueing style is inclusive and trauma informed. The most important thing for him as a yoga teacher is to hold space for you to connect with yourself. Honoring the roots of yoga and helping others discover the depths of this practice are at the forefront of his teaching. "Yoga has given me the tools to move through some difficult situations and integrate my experiences rather than avoid or bypass them. I believe this practice has the potential to help anyone no matter what your background, ethnicity or beliefs are."
His classes involve dynamic sequencing and challenging postures, with a heavy focus on alignment and usage of both Sanskrit and English names for asanas. You can expect his classes to involve a warm up, peak flow and cool down. He enjoys creating fun sequences that can help you drop into a flow state, connecting you to your movement through pranayama.
